Deutsche Bank's research team just modeled where gold could land by 2031 if central banks keep shifting reserves away from the dollar. Their answer: $8,000 per ounce, roughly 80% above today's price.
Other major banks are already calling for higher near-term levels, including JPMorgan at $6,000, UBS at $5,900, and Goldman Sachs at $5,400.
Deutsche Bank sums it up this way: gold is poised to benefit as nations pivot away from the dollar as their reserve asset of choice.
